When I held the ‘Doctoral Dissertation at the University of Agder 99’ in my hand, I wasn’t sure how to describe my feelings then. At least I was glad I finished even though it was imperfect. I could see some possibilities for new paths here and there; but all that needed to wait until one final round: the ‘trial lecture’ and the ‘Disputas’. For that, I started to feel some necessary pressure. The learning process was not over yet. Then again, learning won’t stop and should never be over, right?
